Man in His 20s Rushed to Hospital After Late-Night Stabbing in Hackney Wick

A man in his 20s was taken to the hospital after being stabbed in East London late on Monday, September 9. The Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a stabbing at around 11.30pm and found the victim on Towpath Walk in Hackney Wick with knife wounds.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service quickly transported the man to the hospital. His condition has not yet been disclosed.

The Metropolitan Police’s Central East Command Unit has launched an investigation into the incident. Detectives are conducting inquiries, and part of Lee Conservancy Road remains closed as of Tuesday morning. The road closure caused diversions for three bus routes between the A106 Eastway and the B112 Homerton Road.

No arrests have been made at this stage, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information or footage should call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 8241/9SEP. To remain 100 per cent anonymous call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.”
