A man was tragically declared dead after emergency services rushed to The Grand Hotel in Brighton before dawn on Wednesday.
Early Morning Horror on Kings Road
Police were called just before 6am following concerns for the man’s welfare. Paramedics battled to save him but sadly pronounced him dead at the scene.
Seafront Scene Locked Down Briefly
- The seafront outside the iconic Grand Hotel was quickly cordoned off as officers launched their inquiries.
- Sussex Police confirmed there’s no suspicion of foul play at this stage.
“We were called to The Grand Hotel in Brighton shortly before 6am following a report of concern for a man’s welfare. Sadly, the man was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner,” a police spokesperson said.
Investigation Continues as Hotel Stays Open
Staff at the famous landmark helped emergency crews, with police remaining on site for hours. Guests spotted ambulance and police vehicles during the morning.
No identity details have been released yet while formal identification takes place.
