Man Dies After Medical Emergency in Chingford Despite Paramedics’ Efforts

 

A man has tragically died following a medical emergency on Old Church Road in Chingford, the London Ambulance Service (LAS) has confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 8:29am on Tuesday, March 18, after reports of a person becoming unwell.

In a statement, a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 8.29am yesterday (18 March) to reports of a person unwell in Old Church Road, Chingford.
We sent two ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
Despite the crews’ best efforts to save his life, the patient sadly died at the scene.”

No further details about the patient’s identity have been released at this stage, and the circumstances surrounding the medical emergency remain unclear.

Local residents have expressed sadness at the news, with many seen gathered near the scene during the response effort.

Authorities have not indicated whether a post-mortem examination will take place.
