A 19-year-old man, Yusuf Kallon, has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old Rohan Trotman in Peckham. Kallon, a resident of Marmont Road in SE15, is also facing charges of robbery, possession of a bladed article, and possession of cannabis.
Kallon is scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, July 8. His arrest took place on Thursday, July 6, following an investigation into the incident.
Police were called to Nunhead Green, near the junction with Gordon Road in SE15, at 9:20 pm on Sunday, June 25, after receiving reports of a stabbing. Rohan Trotman, who had sustained stab wounds, was taken to the hospital by a member of the public. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 9:30 am on Monday, June 26.
The next of kin of the victim are being provided with support from specially trained officers during this difficult time.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed the charges against Yusuf Kallon and stated that he is due to appear in court on Saturday, July 8. The charges include murder, two counts of robbery, possession of a bladed article, and possession of cannabis.
