Man charged with assaulting police officers in Birmingham
Investigation Underway Following Deaths of Man and Woman in Coventry

A man has been charged with assaulting police officers after an incident in Springfield, Birmingham.

Tariq Zeb, 52, has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.

Zeb was charged following an incident at an address in Springfield on 19 November in which two officers were assaulted.

One officer received a slash wound to his face caused by a knife, and another officer was punched.

Both were taken to hospital and thankfully following treatment have since been discharged.

Zeb was remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in Birmingham on 21 November.
