Man charged over stolen Moped in Swanley

Stolen moped in Swanley – man charged A man has been charged with handling a stolen moped and obstructing officers in Swanley. At 11.17am on Saturday 12 May 2018, a police patrol reported a suspicious vehicle in an industrial estate off London Road. As the officers approached, a moped drove away. Charlie O’Grady-Thomas, 21, was arrested at his home address in Laburnham Avenue a short time later. A moped, that had been reported stolen in Surrey on 9 February was seized by the officers. Mr O’Grady-Thomas was later charged with receiving stolen goods, obstructing an officer in the execution of their duty, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving without a valid driving licence. He was bailed to attend Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 29 May.
