Man Charged in Connection with Teenage Girl’s Abduction
A suspect has been remanded in custody following allegations he repeatedly stamped on a man’s head in Maidstone

Following a comprehensive search operation, a man has been charged in connection with the abduction of a teenage girl.

Justin Wells, 33, residing at Leighville Drive, Herne Bay, was apprehended after the young girl, who had been reported missing on Thursday night, was located yesterday afternoon.

Kent Police launched an extensive search effort upon receiving the report of the girl’s disappearance, utilizing resources such as police dogs and aerial support.

Wells has been formally charged with the offence of taking a child without legal authority or reasonable excuse from a person having lawful control of the child.

He has been remanded in custody pending his appearance before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 13th April 2024.

The successful resolution of this case underscores the collaborative efforts of Kent Police in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals within the community.
