MURDER ARREST Man Arrested in Scotland Over South London Murder

 

A 33-year-old man is in custody, suspected of murdering 27-year-old Sanchini Thompson in Lewisham. The arrest came after a targeted operation by the Met Police.

Fatal Stabbing Rocks Lewisham

Sanchini was fatally stabbed in Rushey Green at just after 3am on Wednesday, 15 October. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite frantic attempts to save him, he died later in hospital.

Police Hunt Leads to Arrest

The suspect was tracked down and arrested in Scotland on Tuesday night, 21 October. He is set to be transferred to a London police custody centre for questioning.

Investigation Continues

Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Woodsford said: “Our detectives have worked tirelessly to locate and arrest this suspect. The work doesn’t stop here. We will continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Sanchini as we strive to secure justice for him and his loved ones.”
