A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Plumstead on Friday evening (22 August).
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 8.26pm to reports of a man with stab wounds in Swingate Lane.
Officers attended alongside paramedics and found a man in his 30s suffering from injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where his condition is not believed to be life-changing.
A 54-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He remains in police custody.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at 8.26pm on Friday, 22 August after reports of a man with stab wounds in Swingate Lane, Plumstead. A man in his 30s was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, his injuries are not thought to be life-changing. A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.”
Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
