Major Search sparked by Missing 81 year old Man

A search across the Isle of Wight has been launched by Police who are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing 81-year-old year man. Mohammad Salih, was last seen at around 13:20 yesterday afternoon (Sunday) in the Shanklin Road area of Godshill. Mohammad has not been in contact with family or friends. Police, WightSAR, Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team, Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team and the Search and Rescue Coastguard helicopter are all involved in the search for Mr Salih, which got underway at around 01:30 this morning. Mohammad is described as: – 5ft 7ins tall 1 Small build – Very thin white/grey hair He was last seen wearing a black woolly hat, a thin yellow nylon coat, a thick black woollen fleece, dark coloured trousers, black leather shoes and gloves. He may be carrying a small blue pouch bag. If you have seen Mohammad, or know where he is, then call Police immediately, quoting incident 913 of 11 February. Dial 999 in the event of an emergency
