Major Maidstone Road closed for Collision investigation after man is struck by a bus

A major road between Maidstone and Boughton Monchelsea has remained closed for most of the evening after a bus was involved in collision with a man. The A229 Loose Road has been closed for Collision investigation work to take place after a man received live changing injuries. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance treated the man who has been rushed to  the hospitial. The collision took place at the bus stop near to Anglesey Avenue. This road has also been closed off to vehicles to allow specialist  to carry out their forensic investigation. Many heavy good vehicles have been trapped for over five hours due to not being able to turn around in the narrow road that was closed just after 4.15pm on Friday. Kent Police are expected to issue an appeal later.
