Major Fire on Tranker Lane, Worksop Triggers Large Emergency Response
A significant fire is underway on Tranker Lane, Worksop, with multiple fire crews from three counties tackling the blaze this afternoon.
The incident was reported just after 2:00pm on Friday, 9 May, prompting a large-scale response from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, with additional support from South Yorkshire and Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Services.
Fire crews from Worksop, Edwinstowe, Warsop, and Ashfield stations are currently at the scene, working alongside joint colleagues to contain the fire.
Multiple Calls Received
A spokesperson for the Joint Fire Control Room said:
“We’ve received a large number of calls regarding a fire on Tranker Lane, Worksop. Firefighters from across three counties are in attendance.”
At this time, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and there have been no reports of injuries.
Public Advised to Avoid Area
Residents are urged to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke and to avoid the area while crews continue to deal with the incident.
