Motorists are facing severe delays on the M25 anti-clockwise this afternoon after a collision and vehicle fire forced the closure of four out of five lanes between Junction 13 (Staines) and Junction 12 (M3).
Emergency services, including Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, Surrey Police’s Roads Policing Unit and South East Coast Ambulance Service, are currently at the scene.
Traffic Chaos and Congestion
The incident has caused a significant five-mile tailback, with delays of at least 30 minutes already reported. National Highways has warned drivers that delays are expected to increase, and is advising motorists to avoid the area if possible or find alternative routes.

The nature of the collision and extent of the fire have not yet been confirmed, and there is no immediate information about injuries. Fire crews are believed to be working to extinguish the blaze, while paramedics remain on standby.
