The M1 southbound in Bedfordshire is fully closed between Junction 14 (broughton/”>broughton-england/”>Broughton) and Junction 13 (Brogborough) following an overturned car accident.
Emergency services including Bedfordshire Police, Fire & Rescue, East of England Ambulance Service, and National Highways are at the scene.
Follow the Hollow Circle for Diversions
Traffic is being diverted using the hollow circle diversion symbol displayed on road signs. Here’s the route:
- Exit M1 at J14 slip road and at the J14 roundabout take the third exit onto A509 towards Milton Keynes.
- Continue on A509 to northfield/”>Northfield Roundabout (A5130/A4146/A509).
- Take the second exit onto A4146 Childs Way.
- At Fox Milne Roundabout, take the first exit onto A4146 Tongwell Street and pass Monkston Roundabout.
- At Brinklow Roundabout (A4146/A421), take the first exit onto A421 Standing Way.
- Stay on A421 Standing Way and at Kingston Roundabout take the second exit to rejoin the M1 at Junction 13.
