Lucky escape for bus driver and passengers near Basingstoke

The driver and passengers of a Stagecoach bus had a lucky escape this evening after the bus collided with a falling tree in Burghclere. Emergancy services responded to the scene but thankfully there were no reported injuries. Passengers were assisted by a local Public House to keep warm and dry. Please ensure care is taken when travelling as the weather conditions are still not good, with fallen trees, branches and localised flooding occurring in many areas.
