London Violence Surge: Five Stabbings, Shooting and Brawl Leave Multiple Hospitalised in One Day of Chaos

A wave of violence swept across London in the early hours and throughout the day on Wednesday (May 21), leaving multiple people injured – including one man fighting for his life.

Metropolitan Police are investigating five separate incidents, including stabbings in Uxbridge, Kilburn, and Dalston, a shooting in New Addington, and a violent altercation on a bus.

Stabbing on Uxbridge Bus – One Critically Injured

At 12:00am, police were called to Uxbridge Road and Harlington Road following a report of a fight onboard a 427 bus. Two 18-year-old men were found with stab wounds, one of whom is believed to have life-changing injuries.

Both men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Dalston Fight – Man, 52, in Critical Condition

At 7:40am, emergency services responded to Ridley Road, Dalston, after reports of a fight. A 52-year-old man was found with serious injuries and remains in critical condition in hospital.

Two men, aged 32 and 36, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Kilburn Double Stabbing – Suspect on the Run

Police were called to Buckley Road near Streatley Road, Kilburn, at 1:50pm, where two 18-year-old males were found with stab wounds.

Their injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large.

Brunel University Stabbing – Man Stable

Later that afternoon, at 5:45pm, another stabbing occurred at Kingston Lane and Topping Lane near Brunel University in Uxbridge.

The victim was treated for multiple stab wounds, but his condition has been confirmed as non-life-threatening. Police believe it was an isolated incident.

Shooting in New Addington – Man Hospitalised

At 7:26pm, officers attended Walsh Crescent, New Addington, following a firearm discharge.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made, and specialist crime officers are investigating.

Police Appeal for Information

Met Police urge anyone with information about any of the incidents to come forward. Witnesses can contact 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Context: Rising Violence Across the Capital

These five serious incidents occurred within an 18-hour window and add to growing concerns over youth violence, gang crime, and access to weapons in London.
