Lifeboat and helicopter scambled to search Osborne Bay

The Cowes lifeboat and the Coastguard rescue helicopter were both tasked by HM Coastguard to carry out a search just before 11pm on Thursday evening. Emergency distress beacon sounding in vicinity of Osborne Bay to Ryde. The volunteers from the Cowes lifeboat launched for a second time and carried out a sea search whilst an air search was carried out the by Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 175. After an extensive sea and inland searxh by both rescue assets were stood down at 12.20am on Friday morning
