england/halesowen/”>Halesowen after reports from the public about the Wayway a convoy of high-performance cars was being driven.
According to WMP Traffic, officers stopped the supercar this afternoon and confirmed it had no insurance. The driver was reported and other vehicles in the convoy were issued Section 59 warnings for anti-social driving.

What police said

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), WMP Traffic stated the vehicle was seized for no insurance following concerns about the manner of driving of “this, and other high performance vehicles travelling in convoy” in the Halesowen area. Officers added that the driver was reported and the other cars received S59 warnings.

What is a Section 59 warning?

A Section 59 (Police Reform Act 2002) warning can be issued when police believe a vehicle is being used in a manner causing alarm, distress or annoyance—often linked to careless or anti-social driving. If the same driver or vehicle is involved in similar behaviour within 12 months, police can seize the vehicle.

Public urged to report dangerous driving

Police regularly ask witnesses to report dangerous or nuisance driving, especially where convoys or meet-ups are causing disruption. Information such as dashcam footage, times, and locations helps officers target hotspots.
