Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue has delighted fans by announcing a UK tour scheduled for 2025, as well as the release of a sequel to her 2023 album Tension. The 56-year-old singer, best known for her hit Padam Padam, will bring her Tension tour to the UK, with shows across England and Scotland starting in May next year.
Minogue’s tour will kick off in Glasgow at the OVO Hydro on May 16, 2025, before she heads to other UK cities including Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham, and Birmingham. The Grammy Award-winning artist will also perform two highly anticipated nights at The O2 in London.
Beyond the UK, Minogue is set to take her Tension tour worldwide, performing in her home country of Australia, as well as dates across Asia.
In addition to the tour, Minogue announced a “sequel” to her chart-topping album Tension, set to be released on October 18. The sequel, Tension II, will include nine new tracks. She teased the release on Instagram, saying, “LOVERS …. TENSION II … The sequel with NINE new tracks will be yours on October 18th! Get ready for your close up … Lead single coming September 27th.”
Minogue’s Tension album reached number one in the UK charts last year, making it her ninth UK number-one album. She continues to ride high on her success, having won the Global Icon Award at the BRITs this year, as well as a Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording for her hit Padam Padam.
Reflecting on the upcoming tour, Minogue shared her excitement: “I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more. It’s been an exhilarating ride so far, and now get ready for your close-up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action… and there will be a whole lot of Padaming.”
