KitKat Introduces New 70% Dark Chocolate Bar

KitKat, one of the world’s most beloved chocolate brands, is delighting fans with the return of a decadent treat. Nestlé, the company behind KitKat, is set to reintroduce the KitKat 70% Dark chocolate bar, promising a truly indulgent experience.

This latest addition to the KitKat range combines four fingers of KitKat’s signature crispy wafer with smooth dark chocolate, offering a rich and satisfying taste sensation. What makes this particular bar even more special is that it has been created through the cocoa income accelerator programme, marking a significant milestone for KitKat and Nestlé.

The cocoa income accelerator programme is dedicated to improving the livelihoods of cocoa-farming families and their communities. It places a strong emphasis on advancing regenerative agriculture practices to protect, preserve, and restore natural resources for future generations. Furthermore, the program seeks to empower women as agents for positive change, promote school enrolment, and assist farming communities in diversifying their income sources.

Hannah Boyle, Brand Manager for KitKat at Nestlé UK & Ireland, expressed her excitement about the launch, saying, “The introduction of KitKat 70% Dark to our range of iconic chocolate bars is a great way to kick off the new year. The combination of our signature crispy wafer and the rich, smooth dark chocolate creates a truly indulgent experience that we’re confident chocolate fans will love.

In addition to delivering a delicious treat, Nestlé is proud of how the KitKat 70% Dark bar has been produced. The cocoa mass used in this creation is sourced from families participating in the income accelerator programme. Consumers can learn more about how their purchase supports cocoa farming families and their communities by scanning the QR code on the pack.

The KitKat 70% Dark bar is a limited-edition offering and will be exclusively available in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide. Nestlé also highlights that this dark chocolate delight is suitable for vegetarians and contains no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives. It joins the lineup of popular KitKat variants, including the classic KitKat 4 Finger, KitKat Chunky, and KitKat 2 Finger.

KitKat enthusiasts can look forward to enjoying this premium chocolate experience while knowing they are contributing to positive changes in cocoa-farming communities around the world.
