King Postpones Engagements After Experiencing Side Effects from Cancer Treatment

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that His Majesty the King has postponed engagements after experiencing temporary side effects from ongoing cancer treatment.

In a statement released this evening by Royal Communications, the Palace said that the King underwent scheduled medical treatment this morning and subsequently required a short period of observation in hospital.

As a result, his planned afternoon engagements were postponed, and his diary for tomorrow has also been rescheduled as a precautionary measure, following medical advice.

“His Majesty has now returned to Clarence House,” the statement read, “and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s diary programme will also be rescheduled.”

The Palace added that the King sends his apologies to those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed by the changes to his schedule.

This update follows previous disclosures that the King is undergoing ongoing treatment for cancer, though the specific type of cancer has not been made public.

Royal Health Watch Continues

The King’s health has been closely monitored by the public and the media since the announcement of his diagnosis earlier this year. Royal sources continue to emphasize that he remains in good spirits and is following medical guidance.

Royal engagements will resume once His Majesty is cleared to return to full public duties.
