Kent Police Appeal for Witnesses After Girl Bitten by Dog in Tankerton

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a girl was bitten by a dog outside a shop in Tankerton.

The incident occurred on Tankerton Road at approximately 5pm on Tuesday, 23 January 2024. The girl was walking past a small dog tethered outside the shop door when she was allegedly bitten, sustaining puncture wounds to her finger. She received treatment for her injuries following the incident.

Officers have been conducting inquiries and have identified a man who may be able to assist with the investigation. The individual is described as white, of slim build, with a slim face, wearing a blue jacket with white reflective patches and a green beanie hat.

Kent Police are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about the man described to come forward and assist with the investigation.
