Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a basement fire within a property in Green Street, Gillingham
Multi-Vehicle Crash on A2 Near Canterbury: Emergency Services Respond to Major Incident

Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus put the fire out using a hose reel jet. A high-pressure fan was used to clear the property of smoke.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause is believed to be linked to a fault within a dehumidifier.
