John Christopher Smith, aged 42, of Wolverton Street, Liverpool has been sentenced to spend the next eight years and three months in jail for drug dealing and assault offences committed in both Hull and Merseyside, when he appeared at Liverpool Crown Court recently.
He was sentenced to 99 months for the supply of drugs (both cocaine and heroin) in our area and then a further 67 months, to run concurrently, for possession with the intent to supply drugs offence in Liverpool.
Speaking after sentencing is Constable Worrall, “John Smith brought and supplied class A drugs and crime to the streets of Hull.
“He had pleaded guilty at his first attendance at Hull Crown Court and was transferred to Liverpool to face similar charges there.
“Tackling serious and organised crime in our communities is one of our Force priorities and we will stop at nothing to bring offenders to justice.
“We are very pleased that he received such a lengthy sentence. It means that Smith will now have time to consider his life of criminality and reflect on the misery he brought to so many.”
