Isle of Wight Fire crew called to tackle small chimney fire in Newport
A fire crews have been called to a property in Newport earlier this morningto extinguish a chimney fire. Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue said firefighters were called at just after 7am to a property in Forest Road where the chimney had caught fire. One engine was called and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hose reel jets. The fire service said the blaze was extinguished just after 7.30am There were no reported casualties.
