Alfie, a traditional tri-coloured cob, was last seen healthy by his owner around 7 PM on Wednesday. After bathing him, the owner turned Alfie out into a field for the night, only to discover the grim scene the following morning.

The police are also requesting that locals review any CCTV or doorbell camera footage that might capture suspicious activities between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

The owner of Alfie, devastated by the loss, is seeking justice for the beloved horse. In their grief, they have highlighted the cruelty of the attack, hoping that public assistance can aid in solving this dreadful crime.
