Indecent Exposure Offences Next To Golf Club In Gillingham

Witnesses are sought following the arrest of a suspect for a series of indecent exposure offences in Gillingham.

Detectives are investigating several incidents which are reported to have taken place in or near to a golf course, close to the A2 Sovereign Boulevard and Woodlands Road.

The offences are alleged to have happened at least four times, between 7.30am and 8.30am, from 2 October until 4 October 2023. Female victims have reported seeing a man exposed and it is reported on some occasions he was seen committing an indecent act.

On 6 October, a 24-year-old man from Gillingham was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and taken into custody. He is currently bailed with conditions, whilst officers carry out further enquiries.

PC Thabi Hollingsworth, of the Medway Vulnerability Investigation Team, said: ‘We are treating these incidents as linked and are appealing to anyone who may have information which could assist the investigation to contact us. If you walk in this area and have seen anything suspicious but have yet to speak to the police, please don’t hesitate to call us.’
