Hundreds of Homes effected by Power Fault on the Isle of Wight

Many homes and businesses across the Isle of Wight have been effected by intermittent power supply issues this evening (Thursday). There have been a number of reports from Residents in Ryde in the East to Freshwater in the West who have reported multiple occurrences of losing power. Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) are reporting a fault in the West Wight which is said to be affecting 85 postcodes in the PO30 4 and PO41 0 areas. However, properties outside of these postcodes are noticing problems also. Engineers are aware of the ongoing issues and power is expected to be restored back to normal by midnight.
