BMW Flees Police at 100mph

On Saturday, 11 October 2025, officers tried to stop a silver BMW 320D on Bligh Way, Rochester. Instead of stopping, the car sped off, tearing along Watling Street and onto the A2 London-bound motorway. The driver hit speeds up to 100mph between the Medway and Shorne exits.

Crash Near Shorne Country Park

The silver BMW smashed into a red BMW saloon at around 2:45pm, close to the exit for Shorne Country Park. Two occupants of the red car – a man and a child – suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution.

When officers arrived, the silver BMW was empty. Despite a thorough search, no suspects were found at the scene.

Arrest Made, Enquiries Continue

On 14 October 2025, police arrested an 18-year-old man from Gravesend on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop. He has since been bailed while investigations carry on.
