High-Powered BMW Crashes into Telegraph Pole in Heston, Leaving Homes Without Internet

A high-powered BMW ploughed into a telegraph pole late on Monday night, leaving homes without internet and causing significant disruption in Heston.

The crash occurred at just before midnight on 25th February on North Hyde Lane, near the junction with New Heston Road. Emergency services rushed to the scene, where the vehicle had collided with the telegraph pole, bringing down lines and blocking the road in both directions.

As a result of the impact, sa number of homes in the area were left without internet, while Transport for London confirmed that bus routes 482 and H32 were affected due to road closures.

Diversions were put in place, rerouting traffic from North Hyde Lane at Thorncliffe Road, along Norwood Road, Heston Road, New Heston Road, and Vicarage Farm Road before rejoining the original route. Buses followed the same detours in reverse on their return journeys.

The vehicle was recovered, and the scene was fully cleared by 4am on Tuesday, 26th February. Road closures were lifted, and bus services resumed their regular routes.

No injuries were reported in the incident, and police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.

Residents affected by the internet outage have been advised to contact their service providers for updates on repair timelines.
