Help Needed to Identify Individuals in Wembley Bus Assault

Officers from The Met Police are reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying two individuals involved in a racially motivated attack on a bus in Wembley.

The incident occurred on a Route 83 bus around 18:20hrs on 29th December 2023, where five 14-year-old girls were subjected to racial abuse and assault by two older teenagers. Fortunately, none of the victims sustained serious injuries.

The assault was reported later that evening, prompting an immediate investigation by law enforcement.

Following numerous inquiries, CCTV images of the two individuals believed to be involved have now been released, and authorities are urging anyone who may recognize them to come forward.

PC Matt Cannon, leading the investigation, stated, “Thankfully incidents of this nature are incredibly rare on the bus network, however we will not tolerate hate crime and we are working to identify these people as soon as possible.

Individuals with any information regarding the identities of the individuals captured in the images are encouraged to contact 101, quoting CAD 5443/29Dec. Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Assistance from the public is crucial in apprehending those responsible and ensuring that such incidents are swiftly addressed and dealt with according to the law.
