Helicopter Search for Knife-Wielding Motorbike Thief

The Police helicopter was seen circling above Brighton and Hove this afternoon after reports of a man carrying a knife. The National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter provided aerial support to local officers during the search operation.

According to a Sussex Police spokesperson, the incident began around 11:40 AM on Saturday, May 25, when police received a report of two men attempting to steal a motorbike on Alfred Road, Brighton. “One of the men is believed to have had a knife,” the spokesperson said.

A search is currently underway to locate the suspects, who were both spotted travelling on motorbikes. Officers have managed to locate one of the vehicles, but the search for the suspects continues.

Witnesses or anyone with information that could assist in the investigation are urged to contact Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting serial 508 of 25/05.
