Head-On Collision Closes Coast Road Between Minster and Sheerness

 

A serious head-on car crash has closed the coast road between Minster and Sheerness this evening. Initial reports suggest the crash involved two youths in one vehicle and a man and a woman with a baby in the other. Emergency services, including police and fire crews, were called to the scene near the entrance to Barton’s Point Coastal Park at around 7:15 p.m.

Residents praised campervan dwellers for rushing to assist the victims. Ambulance crews are understood to have taken the injured to the hospital. The road, known for its 40mph limit, has a history of serious crashes, including at least one fatality.

Witnesses described the crash as severe, with firefighters working to extract individuals from the wreckage. Updates are expected as more information becomes available.
