The violent encounter, which was captured by the car’s dashcam, shows the gang assaulting the man and smashing the car windows, leading to a chaotic scene on a quiet street.

The video reveals the driver, identified only as the victim’s uncle, expressing distress over the damage to his vehicle, exclaiming, “Oh my car, it’s all broken!” Amidst the turmoil, the passenger, who is the primary target of the attack, is seen trying to fend off the assailants with a knife while pleading with his uncle to drive away quickly and head to the nearest police station.

During the harrowing ordeal, the man also made a frantic call to the Metropolitan Police, seeking immediate assistance. The urgency and fear in his voice highlight the severity of the situation as he struggles to escape the violent ambush.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police received reports of a stabbing in Spencer Road at 5.10am on June 23.

At the scene, they confirmed that a man had been approached by a group of people and was then stabbed.

The victim of the stabbing is said to have taken himself to a hospital whilst reporting the incident to the police.

Police are now investigating into the stabbing

His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or threatening.

A police investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

Police are aware of a video circulating on social media showing dashcam footage of a man in a car being attacked by a group of men armed with knives.

The incident was reported to the Met on 23 June and remains under investigation.

Police were called at 5:10hrs on Sunday, 23 June to reports of a man being stabbed on Spencer Road, Rainham.

Officers attended and found a man had been approached by a group of people and been stabbed.

He had taken himself to hospital while calling the police and his injuries are not thought to be life changing or threatening.

An investigation is ongoing.
