Four Victims Named in Brent House Fire as Investigation Continues

 

The Metropolitan Police have formally identified the four victims of the devastating house fire in Brent’s Tillett Close, Stonebridge. The fatal incident, which occurred at 1.22am  on Saturday, 24 May, claimed the lives of Nusrat Usman, 43, and her three children: Maryam Mikaiel, 15, Musa Usman, 8, and Raees Usman, 4.

Emergency services responded swiftly, with the London Fire Brigade and Met officers attending the scene. Despite their efforts, all four were pronounced dead at the property.

A woman in her 70s, also rescued from the scene, has since been discharged from hospital. A 13-year-old girl remains in critical condition.

Superintendent Steve Allen, of the Met’s north-west London team, praised the efforts of first responders and the community:

“Our thoughts go out to all those impacted by what has happened. Local officers are working closely with the Specialist Crime Command on what continues to be a very complex investigation.”

A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has since been bailed and detained under the Mental Health Act. The investigation is ongoing, and cordons remain in place.

The family has requested privacy as they mourn this unimaginable loss.
