The tarnished legacy of the Horizon Post Office scandal continues to unfold as Paula Vennells, the former chief executive of the Post Office, has had her Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) award formally revoked. The decision comes in the wake of mounting criticism and calls for accountability following the damning fallout from the Horizon debacle, which saw hundreds of innocent sub-postmasters and mistresses wrongly accused of theft and false accounting.
