Following a report of a serious sexual assault on a woman in Exeter in the early hours of Saturday, June 18, police are seeking information – UKNIP

 

A man assaulted the woman in the Catacombs area of the city, near Exe Street, around 2 a.m. Police are looking for the suspect.

 

 

The victim was taken to the hospital but was later released. She is still being assisted by specially trained officers.

 

 

Police investigations are ongoing, and detectives have issued an appeal for public assistance.

 

 

“We are asking anyone who was in the area of Bartholomew Street West, close to the junction with Fore Street, between the hours of 1.30am and 2.15am on Saturday morning to contact us,” Detective Inspector Stephanie Blundell said.

 

 

“We are particularly interested in locating any dashcam footage of the area or any private CCTV recordings of the street that people may have.”

 

 

“As police investigations continue, the public can expect to see an increased police presence in and around the area.”
