Following A Knifepoint Robbery At A Gravesend Business, A Suspect Has Appeared In Court

At 8.40 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, a man entered a shop on Livingstone Road and is accused of threatening a member of staff and a customer with a knife.

He then allegedly reached into the till and stole money before fleeing the premises.

The police were called, and after an investigation, a knife and some clothing were discovered near the scene.

Gavin Jarvis, of Palmer Avenue, Gravesend, was arrested on Monday, May 30. The 29-year-old was later charged with robbery and having a knife in public.

 

Mr Jarvis appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 31, and was remanded to a Woolwich Crown Court hearing on June 28.
