Five Suspects Charged Following East Kent Drug Warrants

Five individuals have been charged as part of an investigation into a suspected drugs network operating in east Kent. On the morning of Thursday, 12 September 2024, police executed drug warrants at eight locations across Dover, Deal, Ramsgate, Chartham, and Dymchurch.

During the searches, police seized suspected class A drugs, cash, and weapons, including three imitation firearms and a knuckleduster.

On Friday, 13 September, three men were charged with conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine:

  • James Larkin, 49, of Leivers Road, Deal
  • Craig Amer, 46, and Kieren Majmander, 36, both of Ashford Road, Canterbury

In addition, two 17-year-old boys from Dover, who cannot be named due to their ages, were charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine.

All five suspects appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 13 September. The three men are scheduled to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on 14 October, while the case involving the two teenagers will be heard at Medway Youth Court on 19 September.

A 26-year-old man, also arrested as part of the investigation, was released on bail pending further inquiries. A 35-year-old woman who was arrested was released without charge.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to dismantle the suspected drug network.
