Five Fire Engines And Around 35 Firefighters Were Called To A Flat Fire On Evelyn Street In Lewisham

 

Firefighters tackled a fire on the seventh floor of the eleven-storey building. Part of a three-roomed flat was damaged by the fire. There were no injuries reported. 

The Brigade was called at 4.03pmand the fire was under control by  4.36pm. Fire crews from Greenwich, New Cross, Lewisham and East Greenwich fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Brigade.
