An officer who searched police computer systems for his own purposes has been sentenced at court following an investigation by Met anti-corruption officers

London Waterloo Station faced a tumultuous event on Saturday, November 18, as a demonstration unfolded, leading to the charging of five individuals with public order offences. In response to intelligence about the planned demonstration, the police obtained consent to enforce a Section 14a order under the Public Order Act 1986. The order was sought to prevent significant disruption to the rail network and ensure public safety.

At approximately 4pm on November 18, a large crowd of protestors began gathering inside the station. Protest liaison officers were present on the scene, informing those in attendance about the prohibition order in effect.

Following the incident, five individuals were arrested for breaching the prohibition order and have now been charged with two public order offences under Sections 14b and 14c of the Public Order Act 1986 (as amended in 2022). The charged individuals are:

1. Pia Lu Bastide, a 29-year-old resident of Drayton Road, Leytonstone.

2. Paul Sheeky, a 48-year-old resident of Tynedale Avenue, Crewe Cheshire.

3. Callum Goode, a 24-year-old resident of Compton Street, Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

4. Abigail Percy-Ratcliff, a 24-year-old resident of Drayton Road, Leytonstone.

5. Fraser Peter Graham, a 27-year-old resident of Windmill Close, Canterbury.

All five individuals have been released with conditions prohibiting them from entering multiple railway stations, including Waterloo, Charing Cross, Kings Cross, London Bridge, Euston, Liverpool Street, Marylebone, Paddington, Victoria, and St Pancras. They are scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
