Sources have released the first image of the 58-year-old man taken into custody following an attempt on Donald Trump’s life while the former president was playing golf at his West Palm Beach course. The man, whose identity has not yet been revealed, is accused of shooting at Trump during his game on Sunday.
Secret Service agents acted quickly, tackling Trump to safety as shots were fired. A subsequent search of the area uncovered an AK-47-style rifle and a backpack near the scene. The suspect fled in an SUV but was later apprehended in a neighbouring county.
The suspect remains in custody as authorities continue their investigation. No injuries were reported, and Trump was unharmed during the incident.
