A community is in mourning following a tragic accident on the A249 Stockbury that claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl, identified by locals as Alisha Marie. The incident occurred around 6:45 PM yesterday when a white Toyota Hilux, in which Alisha was a passenger, crashed near the junction for Church Hill.
The vehicle reportedly collided with a road barrier, causing it to overturn, resulting in fatal injuries to Alisha. The devastating crash also left a 15-year-old boy with serious injuries, prompting emergency services to airlift him to a London hospital for urgent medical treatment.
According to reports, the 17-year-old driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the collision. However, he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been taken into police custody for further questioning.
