Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a terraced house on Durley Avenue in Pinner on Monday afternoon.

The London Fire Brigade was alerted to the incident at 3:37pm, with crews mobilised from Harrow, Northolt, Ruislip, and Stanmore fire stations. Firefighters arrived swiftly at the scene, where part of the first floor of the property was found to be alight.

A 32-metre turntable ladder was deployed to assist crews in battling the fire from above, providing a crucial aerial vantage point to contain the flames.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries, and firefighters managed to bring the situation under control by 4:31pm.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Crews responded promptly to a fire at a terraced house on Durley Avenue. Part of the first floor sustained fire damage, but thanks to the swift and effective response, the fire was contained and extinguished without injuries.”

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Residents in the area gathered as fire crews worked to ensure the scene was safe, with many praising the rapid response of emergency services.
