Firefighters Respond to Smoke Alarm at Colindale’s Merlin Building

In the early hours of Sunday morning, multiple fire engines and crews were dispatched to a potential fire incident at the Merlin Building,  at The Concourse, Colindale, NW9. London Fire Brigade received an alert shortly after 1 a.m. on 10 November 2024, following the activation of a smoke detector within the premises.

The response, saw firefighters quickly mobilised to the site. Initial reports indicated a smoke detector had been triggered. Fire crews arrived promptly, conducting a thorough assessment of the building to ensure the safety of its occupants and verify the cause of the alarm.

The London Fire Brigade has not reported any visible signs of fire or smoke, and no injuries have been confirmed. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the source of the alarm and assess any potential risks.

Residents of the Merlin Building and surrounding areas were temporarily advised to stay clear of the affected zones as a precaution. The London Fire Brigade is expected to release an update once their investigation concludes.
