Fire Incident at Commercial Premises in Maidstone
Emergency Rescue for Stranded Vehicle in Flooded Chestfield Road, Whitstable

Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of a fire at a commercial premises located in King Street, Maidstone.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, with emergency services being alerted at approximately 10:03 pm. Three fire engines were dispatched to the scene to address the situation.

Upon arrival, firefighters swiftly took action, utilizing high-pressure hose reel jets and main jets to tackle the blaze, which was located in the kitchen area of the commercial establishment.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with the fire. However, the premises sustained damage as a result of the incident.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was accidental in nature, although further inquiries may be conducted to determine the exact cause.

The prompt response and effective firefighting efforts by Kent Fire and Rescue Service helped to contain the blaze and prevent any potential escalation of the situation.
