Arson attack at an industrial site in Swanley, sparking a large-scale response from Kent Fire and Rescue Service

This morning, July 17, a fire broke out in an office building located at Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Holborn. The London Fire Brigade responded promptly, dispatching four fire engines and approximately 25 firefighters to the scene. The call came in at 6:15 AM, and by 7:50 AM, the fire was successfully brought under control.

The blaze damaged half of a storage room situated on the fourth floor of the five-storey office building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The swift response and efforts of the fire crews from Soho, Euston, and Dowgate fire stations were instrumental in containing the fire and preventing further damage.

Photos from the scene depict a significant presence of London Fire Brigade vehicles and personnel outside the building. A safety cordon was established, marked with signs reading “hazard zone, do not cross,” to ensure public safety and facilitate the firefighting operations.

The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation. A spokesperson for the London fire Brigade provided a statement: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled an office fire on Lincoln’s Inn Fields in Holborn.
