Fire crews called to the British Film Institute on the South Bank

A number of fire appliances from the London fire and rescue services have been mobilsed to the British Film Institute on the South Bank in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Emergency crews have been rushed to the scene after smoke has been seen issuing from the building just after 2.20am. A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said that Crews are at a commercial property on the South Bank and a search is being carried out after an automatic fire alarm was sounding within the building.
