Fire breaks out in Highrise block of flats in London

A fire has broken out in an Islington highrise block of flats. The blaze broke out, on Sunday afternoon (April 21). Fire crews from Islington borough fire station and surrounding stations from the London Fire brigade have been sent to the incident in the Finsbury Park area.       [ytp_video source=”4SA6psOaiU8″] Forty firefighters have been tackling the blaze at the tower block Smoke can be seen pouring out from a floor about halfway up the block of flats on Biggerstaff Street, near Holloway Road. London Fire Brigade (LFB) spokesperson who said: “They were called at 1.38pm to a fire on a balcony on the ninth floor of the building. “Six fire appliances are at the scene with about 40 firefighters. “There have been no reports of anyone suffering any injuries.”   More to Follow
