West Midlands Police are conducting an investigation following a tragic two-car collision that occurred on Firefly Road in Coventry last night, Saturday. The accident resulted in the loss of one life and injuries to four individuals.
The incident took place around 10:15 pm when two vehicles, a white Seat Leon Cupra and a blue Citroen C3, collided on Firefly Road. The 33-year-old driver of the white Seat Leon Cupra tragically lost his life at the scene. His family has been notified, and they are receiving support during this devastating time.
A male passenger in his 30s, who was travelling in the same car, received medical attention from paramedics before being transported to the hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
In the second car, a blue Citroen C3, three occupants suffered serious injuries, though they are in stable condition and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The driver, a man in his 50s, and two female passengers in their 60s remain hospitalized.
West Midlands Police are actively investigating the incident. Witnesses have been interviewed, and investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to establish the exact sequence of events leading to the collision.
Authorities are now appealing to anyone who was driving on or near Firefly Road on the night of the incident to check their dashcam footage, as it may provide crucial information about the accident.
